Youngest of 6 children and grew up on a farm in Northeastern Ohio. I wrote my one common app essay on the influence of agriculture in my life.
My school is very small and only has 62 students. I’m tied for 7th in my class but because there’s multiple people tied, I’m technically 10th because of what they go by. It’s very confusing and frustrating, but I’m top 20% at least. However, I did apply into the college of agriculture as a food science major, and I was told their average ACT is lower.
I know some people who got in last year with ACT scores that were much lower–like 20 and 22 and 24. Remember that 28.5 is just the average. A lot of people don’t come close to having that kind of ACT and they still get into OSU as freshmen.
