What are my chances, should i apply?

Hi,

I am from Croatia, have all A’s except for 2 B’s in 6th grade and 3 B’s in 7th.
I don’t have that many extracurricular activities, I have been/am:
on student council for 6 years
a member of a Taekwondo Club
in Drama club
extra Physics classes (kinda like AP)
give instructions in Physics
in my school’s choir

the thing with these EC is that here we don’t have them in schools (we don’t have clubs, except for maybe Drama Club)

I have been excepted to EF Academy New York, but I don’t know if it’s a good school. The thing I like most about it is the fact that you can ‘rotate campuses’ which basically means that you can study for a semester or more in one of 4 campuses (San Diego, New York, Oxford (ENG) and Torbay (ENG).

I’ve heard that "No one will judge you by the reputation of the school – rather it will be the whole of what you have learned and experienced those years abroad that will make the biggest impression.#

Now, I don’t know if I’ll even be accepted into some of the competitive schools like Peddie, Lawrenceville, Choate, let alone Exter and Andover.
I really like Berkshire School or Blair Academy, but again, I don’t know I’ll get into and I don’t have the time to decide (I have to pay 1/3 of the tuition to EF’s account if I wanna go). It’s especially hard for me because I haven’t taken the SSAT’s and I’ve got no idea of how that would turn out.

So, should i apply to any of the competitive schools and take the risk of losing my acceptance from EF or not?

Other schools you are looking at have less options to go abroad that EF Academy. If this is what you really want then I suggest you stick to this option. Having said that, if you want to go to a more competitive academic school, you will have a geographic advantage in applying as there are fewer international students from Eastern Europe - most are from Asia. Cannot opine on SSAT but the top schools want high scores - above 75 percentile or better to have a chance. Good luck
