I realize that most of my classes aren’t rigorous, and for that I really regret not asking for a level change, but I hope to make it up my senior year by taking some more AP classes (and of course improving my gpa). I don’t have any “strong” ECs, but here’s a (very short) list anyway:
Tutored a younger sibling in basic spanish for an entire winter break (sophomore year)
Volunteered once a week at a local church as a teacher’s assistant 9am-3pm over a 6-week period (this summer)
I had also planned on volunteering at a local hospital this summer because I wanted to have some experience in a clinical setting (my dream is to become a clinical psychologist), but I never got the chance because of conflicting schedules.
Do you think the admission board would accept me even though my grades (they were especially horrible during junior year) and ECs are iffy?
