I would say your application is strong. Your AP scores and subject tests are good, while your SAT and GPA could be better. Thus, I would say on aggregate your numbers are in the range for the counselors to really look at your non-stat qualities.

These are very strong. Your extracurriculars show dedication (4 years band, 3 years lacrosse) and interest in science, while were I an admissions counselor I would question the point of so much variety (~12 EC’s? It kind of appears like you just joined everything; since it’s nearly impossible to actually do that much well, that might be negative.)

Your religion would impart a bit of theological variety to the student body, diversity which is often lacking. That could work in your favor, but it does make me wonder why ND is on your list. ND has a great engineering program, but that’s hardly unique and there are stronger programs (on paper at least. As an engineering alum in grad school, I’m convinced that ND’s program is extremely good but then I’m biased) that could be options for you. Since you are not Catholic, the religious character of the school likely isn’t why you’re applying. ND is a unique blend of first-rate academics, close family atmosphere, religious atmosphere, and near-universal athletic interest and participation (most students were varsity HS athletes, like you). So what appeals to you? This will be an important question to answer. There are literally thousands of applicants that will have ND as their first choice and would turn down every other school in the country to go. You should have a good reason why you want to be there.

Finally, I find your work experience to be impressive. Being able to maintain all that should offset any perceived numerical weaknesses you present. I wish you the best of luck.
