So i'm currently a junior in high school and i'm really trying to get into a UC but my current gpa is pretty bad. my freshman year UW gpa was a 3.25, and my soph year UW was a 2.5. my soph year W was a 2.7. My first semester junior grades are almost out and my gpa was improved a little bit. by the looks of it, i think i'll have a 3.0 this semester UW, but that might change into 3.1 or 3.2 depending on how i do on my finals. My weighted for this sem should be around 3.5 or 3.6. I'm trying to get as many A's as I can next semester. Sadly, I go to a really competitive high school so it's gonna be really hard. I'm just hoping my SAT score will be good enough to outweigh my poor gpa. I'm taking it in 2 months and i've been studying a lot for it so i'm trying to get atleast 2200 or higher. I am also going to make sure my personal statements are really strong and get atlesat 100 hours of comm service. I am planning to major in psychology so i am going to do a psychology internship this summer. Supposing I do get that SAT score, have strong personal statements, get the comm service hours as well as the internship, and make my cumulative UW gpa for soph and junior year is about a 3.1 and my weighted gpa is about 3.4 or 3.5, do you think I have a chance at one of the following UC's?
-UC Santa Cruz
-UC Santa Barbara
-UC Davis
-UC Irvine

Thank you so much!
