Hey all! I’m a senior who is attending a private high school in Colorado. I want to study computer science in the future but have no idea if i’ll get accepted from my dream schools.
Freshman year: 3.43 uw gpa (no advanced classes)
Sophompre year: 3.46 uw gpa, 4.12 w gpa (4 college credit classes and 1 ap)
Junior year: 4.0 uw gpa, 4.3 w gpa (3 college credit courses and 1 ap)
And let’s assume that I get 4.0 uw gpa in my senior year.
I played basketball and ran cross country for 3 years, was involved in model united nations and mock trial. I also involved in school mentorships program, was a math tutor, had more than 100 hrs of community service, worked at a coffee shop for two years.
I got 800 on SAT math 2c, 800 on french, 750 on chemistry. My highest sat score so far is 1500.
My dream schools are ucsc, university of minnesota, purdue, uiuc, texas a&m, u of wisconsin, u of washington.
Do you think I still have pretty good chances to get accepted into my dream schools?
I think you’ll be solid and competitive at UCSC, UMinn, UWisconsin, and UWashington (which is different from WashU). Purdue, UIUC, and Texas A&M are reaches. Most of these schools don’t look at freshman grades, which saves you from your biggest weakness.
