What are my chances?

I’m a CC student in Raleigh, North Carolina which grants “automatic” admissions to the schools in the NC system.

High School:
GPA- UW: 2.13 W: 2.3(?) 33 Credits
SAT- 1010/1600, 1560/2400
Extra: High School Football, Baseball, Basketball(3 Years Letter in all), WakeMedical Volunteer, French Club(2 Years), Latin Club(2 Years).

College:
GPA- 3.3(1st), Aiming for a 3.5 for the 1st year.
Extra: WakeMedical Volunteer, St. Catherine’s Chruch Volunteer, Phi Beta Lambda(Buisness Club), Econ Club, Social Science Club

I’m a Philosophy-PreMed major.

I’m just hoping that I can make it into college because I really can’t go on in a 2-year college. It’s depressing. Sucks because I know I screwed up. I just wanna make it up to myself and my parents and bust my *** in college.

This is what the ASU website says.

I really don't know much about trasnfer applicants, but I think your high school GPA is still considered until your junior year in college (or after 24 credits), and that wouldn't be so nice since you college GPA looks a lot better than you high school.
But you've shown a lot of improvement, and hopefully they'll see that and make an exception. Plus, you do have the required transfer GPA. Also depends on what program you applied for.

I wouldn't say you are assured in, but I think you have an OK chance. Good luck!
If ASU or UofA(i saw your other post) or any other college doesn't work out, apply next year, and you will BE IN with that GPA.

"I wouldn't say you are assured in, but I think you have an OK chance. Good luck!"
Ok chance? Anyone who has a 2.5+ gets in as a transfer as long as you have enough units and aren't applying to one of the impacted programs at the school.

Thanks guys!

"Ok chance? Anyone who has a 2.5+ gets in as a transfer as long as you have enough units and aren't applying to one of the impacted programs at the school."

The thing is, he is not technically a transfer. He doesn't have enough credits for his high school transcript to be exempt, so they take his high school GPA for consideration along with his college GPA.

It says I need 24 credits, I have 33 unless I missed something in there.

^^ oh, then nevermind. I thought you said you were still a freshman...I just assumed.

You're in then.
