I am only a sophmore high school right now but i was just wondering what are my chances so far in getting into a college if i was to apply right now. My gpa right now is a 2.5 but it is getting higher since i got all a's and b's this semester. I was wondering if i have any shot right now getting into University of Maryland and please give me feedback on what i should do better and what i need to do better

Just bring up your GPA and do lots of extracurriculars and you're in probably.

I'm a sophomore too.

With your stats as they are, I'd say your chances of getting into U of Maryland (College Park) are slim to none. But you would get into "a college".
Colleges like to see an upswing in grades, so continue the good work for the second sememster of your sophomore year, junior, and and senior year. Try to raise your GPA to over a 4.0 weighted to offset the 2.5.

Also, what sort of classes are you taking? What extracurricular activities do you participate in? And if you took the PSAT, how did you do on it?

Come on...we need more info. to evaluate your chances.

Oops is U Maryland really good or something?

Elbreth hasn't replied to me.

U of Maryland--College park is one of the top public schools in the country and pretty tough to get into, esp. out of state. It's acceptance rate is only 43% and it's average SAT is 570-660 verbal, 600-700 math.

But U of Maryland Balimore County is a little easier to get into (desai42 would still need to raise his/her GPA considerably, though), U of Maryland Eastern Shore is VERY easy to get into with its 90% acceptance rate.

right now im in all college prep classes and i was ont he track team for half a year next year i plan on doing clubs and community work...i really wanna get into umd cause my cousins went there...i plan on graduating high school with a 3.4..is that good enuf??

i was wondering if you guys had any information on colleges that are really good for entreprenuership. Because i want to do mba in entreprenuership. Please let me know if you guys have any idea

What do you think my chances would be at University of Connecticut with the same sort of criteria?
