I have a low GPA, its a 3.1
I'm a junior so I have a little time to bring up my GPA.
I haven't taken the SAT's yet but I plan on taking it over and over again until I get the score I am satisfied with.
I want to get into UGA.
Do you think that getting a high SAT score will give me a chance of getting into UGA?
I also want to be in a sorority there, but first I just need to worry about being accepted.

If you are successful getting your GPA up and if you get the SAT score you want (and UGA agrees with you on that score), then you will have an okay chance of admission. (UGA usually wants GPA’s a lot higher than 3.1). There is no doubt that you will get into a sorority - they’re going to love you.

How high do you think I need to bring up my GPA to have a chance?

A 3.4 is a good estimate. Try to be in the top quartile.

Is the 3.1 your unweighted or weighted GPA?

just try to be top 20% if you can, because some schools have easier grading systems than others. Try to get a sat score of 2150~2200+ for a decent shot and to balance your gpa.
