Hello there. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge of what’s most important in getting into St. Mark’s School of Texas and Jesuit Dallas. My son is applying at these 2 schools and he has his heart set on going to a private school beginning 9th grade. He has been in the public school system up until now and we do live in a great public ISD. We just received his ISEE scores and he scored a 9 stanine across all subjects, with the following percentiles: Verbal 97, Reading 96, Quantitative 98, and Math 99. He has been playing travel hockey for many years and has been a straight A student since 1st grade (all his 8th grade classes are at pre-AP level). He does volunteer work through the National Junior Honor Society program, member of the Robotics Club at school, and participates in the Math and Science UILs. Do you think these credentials are enough to get him to either school? Should we apply to John Paul II as well, to be safe?
hello dallasmom. Your son’s scores and extracurr are impressive. Which schools did he get in and what has he decided?
