I've heard over and over people say that you will need amazing or incredible experiences and EC's in order for you to get into Med School, along with the obvious stellar academic history and MCAT. What do you think are some amazing E.C.'s? Thanks

I would assume it should be about what you enjoy doing...if you put down an ec and it's obvious you weren't very enthusiastic about it, and you're just using it to look good, it would defeat the whole purpose of having participated in it. I do understand your question though. My guess would be to do things that you enjoy, are interesting, and don't seem to be too slacky. Anyone else have any recommendations?

I definitely know what you mean about not doing something just to please the AdComm's at a med school. The best advice I recieved was from a senior who graduated from my university. She was just accepted to med school and she told me to do what I like; be who I am. It's very important to maintain your identity and make sure that you truly know what you're getting yourself into. Medicine is not for everyone, just because it's not for you or me doesn't make us any less of a person. I think that's what some pre-meds don't quite get.
