What are some current world problems?

<p>I'm working on an art project that will incorporate the world problems as of right now. I already have the tsunami in japan, gaddafi, nuclear power plants in japan, and gas prices. I know there are more but my mind went blank! </p>

<p>So what are some current world problems? What symbols or objects do you think would go with it? It would help me so much if I had some more input! Thanks! :)</p>

<p>World hunger is always present, same with slavery (in various forms). Is it supposed to be based off specific events, or are generalities acceptable?</p>
