What are some early signs of acceptance??

btw do the letters about school departments (ie. music, english, etc) mean anything? I used to think those were just generic info flyers but seriously, its like only a week until admissions letters arrive and we actually got another letter today. might this be a slighly good sign?

Probably not…everyone gets em it seems.

we30- I only posted my thread once and im not forcing u to read it so f**k off. If you dont wanna read it then dont.

hey DEtrombone, you must be on edge right now (8 days left, i assume) but don’t take it out on others! besides, your chances are fine and the adcom probably have already made their decisions, so … breeze through the next 8 days? as much as possible, anyways. :P

ha ight. Wait when exactly do you get the letters? Dont they send em on the 10th?

hmm, i’m not sure. it must differ from school-to-school, but if you look back at posts from last year, lots of people received them on the 10th, if not earlier (the earliest was the 8th, i believe?)

online decisions are great, too!
i hear rejections and waitlists come a couple days later than acceptances, though…

oh, i think Exeter sends them on the 10th and they said you can’t get it through email or phone until the 13th.

u can get them 9am on the 10th through lionlinks. You shuld have the username and pw if not, I would e-mail them.

haha i do but thats not good… im gonna like get in trouble because im gonna go on it in school right at 9 am. haha

so u r saying if i got a letter from a coach 2 weeks ago it is not just generic

no they’re saying it has to be generic because between feb. 10 and march 10 coaches aren’t allowed to contact you personally.

only ISL schools. I still talk to coaches…

oh (10 char)

Apparently , coaches can call parents…and have.

in my resume, I mentioned that I might be willing to apply as a sophmore (staying back 1 year)
They sent me an email saying they feel I will do better as a sophmore and asked me whether I would still like to continue this option.

Good chance?

We received a call from a volunteer parent last night asking if we had any questions.
zp

from what school?

i am REALLY excited.
I do want to know if this is a good sign (not trying to be mean or cocky, but if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it, it would ruin my happy moment.hahahaha.sorry for that.boy, i’m weird.)

These past few days, my mom and I have been getting a lot of calls from a school I’m applying to. They asked for my transcripts. Then they asked us who’s going to pay for my tuition fee (I have a scholarship program that will do that for moi) and they mentioned (I wasn’t the one who spoke to the person, so I don’t know the exact words) that they were considering me for the Davis Scholarship. And from what I know, there are only a few students who receive that thing-y.

I’m sorry for my immaturity…good luck to everyone!

i dunno if this is mean or not but that was all stuff required by the schools I applied to… maybe you just didnt get everything in… I dont need any financial aid so i wouldnt know but i guess the scholarship thing is a good sign

Oh thank you:) That’s fine, it’s not mean

Oh, for the transcript thing. When I turned in my application forms, we were still on our 2nd quarter, and we just finished that, so I’m guessing they just needed to update it? (hopefully)
