What are some good clubs/groups on campus

you guys have any ideas?

[Hopkins Groups](<a href=“- Hopkins Groups at Johns Hopkins University”>- Hopkins Groups at Johns Hopkins University)

Does anyone else have specific suggestions? I’m assuming the OP asked this question because it has to do with the JHU supplement essay.
From the list of groups, it’s hard to tell which ones are truly active or not, so I had some trouble picking ones for my essay…

this section is so dead lol

Bleh, it really depends on your interests, but the following groups are well established/successful:

College Dems/Reps
Mock Trial
Parli Debate
Model UN
Newspaper

But of course this advice doesn’t really help if that’s not the sort of group you’re interested in.

Haha wow, coincidentally I put MUN, Newspaper, and mock trial in my essay. Yay! :)

I think Hopkins runs an MUN for high school students as well as competing at college-level model UN.

Yup, Hopkins has a relatively-young competing team as well as a conference for high school students that’s been around for the late 90s. Since I was former Sec-Gen of the conference, I have to put in a plug for it - it’s a lot of fun, relatively low key through most of the year, and culminating in a 4 day conference in downtown Baltimore. Hopkins students comprise the conference staff that chairs committees, creates crisis events and keeps everything running “behind-the-scenes”. The staff stays in the conference hotel throughout the conference and get meals and hotel paid for for the weekend. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about JHUMUNC

how active is amnesty international?
