Can anyone give me some suggestions on ANY good medical/science schools?

Hmmm... where in the nation (or out of it) are you looking and what sort of stats are you looking for the school to accept on average? If you're looking for top schools, I'd say off the top of my head: Caltech, MIT, Harvey Mudd College, Tufts University, Johns Hopkins University.

I'm mainly looking for schools in California, preferably UC schools and maybe some out of state like JHU. My UC gpa is 4.16(uc's only weight 8 Honors/AP classes) and my gpa is much higher when weighted with all of my honors ad AP classes.

is harvey mudd really good for pre-med?

Harvey Mudd. Caltech, and MIT aren't so much for pre-med... they're much more on the science side of things. The reason why I listed them is because wizard55 asked for medical/science schools which I took to mean medical or science schools...

As for some suggestions (specifically pre-med programs)... Johns Hopkins University, Tufts University, Washington University of St. Louis, Stanford University, UC-San Fransisco, UCLA, UC-San Diego, University of Chicago.

OOOOH Nice I really like UCSD. Would you consider UCSD as a prestiges school for medical compared to many of the other schools you have listed?

I'm from the northeast, so to me when I think top medical schools Johns Hopkins, Tufts, Wash U, Stanford, and U Chicago stand out (in that order)... then the UCs I listed would follow. That opinion, however, is probably due (in part, at least) to my location.

I agree with above posters: you can't go wrong with the pre-med programs at JHU, WUSTL, Tufts, UChicago. UCLA and Berkeley for UC schools.

Koool. Does anyone know the average GPA acceptance rate for JHU?

beware of schools where grade deflation is big. GPA is the single biggest thing in a med school ap. they wont care if u had a 3.0 at a rly hard school, vs a 3.8 at a mediocare challenge
