Can someone give me a list of good personal statement helpers online? I’ve researched some but they always require payment in the end 
(Not saying that I expect some of them to be 100% free, but I know there’s some pretty good free ones out there).

You are the person with the most information about personal attributes and what they contribute to who you are and want you do, you have a sense of the kind of person you are working to become, what kind of learning environments do you find most useful, how do you study unknown,information and how do you know you know it, what draws youths particular school and why and so on. When you meet someone new, what do you want them to know about you. What are you like as a friend?
The reason you are expected to pay money and probably not an insignificant sum is that you are expecting a professional to take their time to interview you, ask you questions, and help develop an essay for you to submit. Oh, and that essay may or may not reflect you accurately.

It sounds like those websites are selling essays/personal statements. Adcoms can spot those easily.
I think your best bet is to go online and perhaps youtube to look up some general tips like what they are looking for in your essay, how to present yourself, etc.
The rest is up to you.
