I'm planning on transferring from my local community college to a public university and obtain a BS in ChemE,but now I'm worried. I chose this major because it's challenging and offers a lot of options, but besides being a chemical engineer I don't know of any specific career paths or industries I can go into if being a chemical engineer doesn't work out for me. Any advice would be appreciated.

That question is very broad. What fields do you want to go into. If you have a goal, maybe an alternative path would be wiser for you.

chemical engineers can work in tons of industries, including nanotech and food. they are also recruited by finance companies for technical skills. they can also go to med or law school.
