What do you think of that triple major?
I think it doesn’t make sense.
I think you would be hard pressed to complete 3 disparate majors in 4 years. A LAC with no core curriculum requires 9 classes per major, which would be 27, and students take 4 at a time, for a total of 32. Can you do it? Maybe but only if the number of higher level courses are offered in a way that they can all be scheduled at the appropriate times. A college with Gen Ed requirements, or a core curriculum, would be really tight. Triple majors make a bit more sense when the subject areas are more closely related like history/econ/poli sci where they share prerequisites.
Such a student would be more educated about a few more topics, so might win some bar bets and engage in more discussions with various people. Knowledge and education has value. Paying for an extra semester or two of college to do this, when much can be learned on line, is challenging to justify.
From an employment/career standpoint - not much.
You have been playing this parlor game for at least 2 years now, and the answers have always been the same: there are no specific benefits (except possibly for quiz games- that was a great response). Based on your timeline in other posts, you should be just starting college in the next 2-6 weeks. Go take some actual classes. See what you like studying at university level. See what you are good at studying at university level. Think about what you would like to do after university. Pick your classes- with the help of your advisor!- so that you will 1) meet your graduation requirements in time to graduate in 4 years and 2) meet any pre-reqs for grad school or vocational options that you want after graduation. Pick the rest of your classes to suit your own intellectual interests. Done.
Well… If you’re going to enroll in Yale, it would be more like a double major as they offer a combined Math and Philosophy major.
Regardless, anything beyond a single major generally has more value from the perspective of your own edification than it has as a marketable credential, so might as well pick one major then take elective classes that you enjoy (consistent with distribution requirements, etc.).
None.
Here is one of your previous, threads. Perhaps reread those responses. No matter how many times you ask the same question, it is my opinion that you will hear that a triple major won’t benefit you much if at all.
According to one of your threads, you were starting your senior year in June 2019…which means you graduated HS a year ago. Is that correct? Where are you attending college. Is it really necessary to have a triple major? I’m not sure I understand why you want to do this.
The advantage will be more in your personal growth than in what future employees deign to be an advantageous educational experience.
