I am a junior in high school and am 100% sure i want to get into business.

I don't have the grades to get into an ivy-league school so i wanted to know what schools had the best undergraduate business programs.

I am a junior in high school and am 100% sure i want to get into business.

I don't have the grades to get into an ivy-league school so i wanted to know what schools had the best undergraduate business programs.

berkeley, michigan, virginia, ucla, carnegie mellon, mit, usc, ohio state, texas, babson, u of illinois, indiana, nyu, wisconsin are some

you don't have to major in business to go into the field.

northwestern!

actually, i think i want to narrow my question down a little. what undergrad business programs could someone with a gpa under 4.0 get into

a lot of the programs dont accept u into the program till after u fulfill the pre-requisites and do well in ur classes...u sorta have to apply to the program...i know thats the case at berkeley and ucla

UCLA doesn't have undergrad business. Period. But, yes, at many schools you're admitted to the ug business program later.

I would still recommend an academic major for undergrad and then an MBA. You will wind up bringing more to the table.

does university of miami have a decent undergrad. business program...cause i think id love going to that school. i have about a 3.8 and around 1300 sat....would i even get in?

and what academic majors would suit me if i wanted to pursue a career in business?

ucla actually does have a business program- they just call it biz-econ since they integrate some economics classes into it.

NYU is one of the best...

im an athelete too, i want a school that has awesome sports...thats why i was interested in miami....or maybe a penn state/maryland. does anybody know anything about those undergrad business programs?

PSU has a solid undergraduate Business program, not so sure about UMD. What state are you from?

i live in NY. we dont really have any of those big state schools, thats why im looking for a match... so far i like penn state, maryland, and hopefully univ of miami and univ of michigan. i dunno if ill have the grades for those last two mentioned.

Actually they don't, a biz-econ program is a biz-econ program; the curriculum is mainly economics and management courses. Business schools are very different in terms of coursework and preparation.

yea, like the poster said above, biz-econ is not business. if you want to describe it that way, it's actually the opposite--more like econ with some business integrated into it. it's quite different from an actual business program.

Right. Business-econ is also regarded as a tough major at UCLA.

MIT has one of the greatest management programs out there, and it's non-IVY... not sure if that's what you're looking for though. As others have said, many state schools have great business programs.

Many of the ivies don't have undergrad business programs, but of course you don't have to be enrolled in an undergrad business school to go to graduate business school. Some of the schools listed, such as University of Michigan only allow students to enter the business school in their 3rd year (you have to apply for it).
