I am going to be a Senior and I recently took the SAT in January and scored a 1580, (510 math, 500 crit, 570 writing) and I bought the Kaplan sat advanced guide for preparation to the october test but I don't understand how does somebody STUDY for something like this? should I be taking practice tests? or what? there are only so many questions in the book so im confused... Do you guys know any good program torrents or ebooks that I can get for free? or good online practice tests that don't cost to print out/use? MUCH APPRECIATED

Blue Book is best but you’re gonna have to pay for it.

There are quite a few good resources. For instance, I always recommend the on-line Sparknotes SAT prep ([SAT: Improve SAT Score with SparkNotes: Introduction](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)), especially for writing. There are also practice exams on Sparknotes.

Silverturtle’s guide (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/955109-silverturtles-guide-sat-admissions-success.html) is top-notch, too, for writing and critical reading.

More recently, I’ve been using [Number2.com :: Free Online Test Prep](http://www.number2.com) with the people I tutor. It’s a free online interactive site, and I particularly like its vocabulary prep. I could care less for its sentence completion section.

Unfortunately, I don’t know of any internet math resources. What I can say, though, is that the absolute best way to improve your math score–SAT score in general, really–is through practice exams. You should try to focus on official released CollegeBoard exams, which you can find on the CollegeBoard website, or even just any bookstore in your area.

I hope that helps.
Good luck!
