<p>A lot of my friends from the Class of 2004 selected mechanical engineering.</p>

<p>A lot of my friends from the Class of 2005 selected computer science.</p>

<p>So, what are the most popular engineering majors as of 2004-2005?</p>

<p>I recommend students consider mechanical or electrical engineering. They are the most broad and offer the most job opportunities. Many MEs and EEs can work in Industrial and Chemical positions as well, where the reverse isn't nearly as common or applicable.</p>
