What are the most popular TV shows at colleges?

Would it be hard to follow 24 if I haven't ever seen an episode before?

I think so. That's what other people have told me. The basic idea of the show is that each episode is one hour long in real time. And they go through 24 Hours, meaning 24 episodes a season. So if you were to miss some of the stuff in the beginning I'd say you'd be lost as to what's happening because for a show like that to be exactly 1 hour in real time there have to be a lot of details to follow. I've never seen the show, only because I'm not much a tv person. Most of the shows I do catch are because I watch only ocassionaly if I'm not watching a baseball game.

Entourage is pretty much the greatest show ever

the OC, grays anat, and desperate housewives is also popular at my school

For some reason not to many people watch 24 at my school

Each show begins with "Previously on 24..." and give you a quick refresher of the main/subplots. But if you find yourself enjoying the show, do rewatch from the first episode of that season (each season is a different day in Jack Bauer's life, and years elapse between each season) because the numerous and unpredictable plot twists are not to be miss (or at least, I don't bother to predict them). Most of the characters carry over to each season also, so it's even better and also interesting to watch from season 1 and see how the "Counter Terrorist Unit" change through management.

Balmes, Grey's Anatomy is only one of the best shows ever! The storyline revolves mainly around 5 interns at Seattle Grace Hospital, and their relationships with the doctors in the hospital and each other. It has really good stories in each one, including really awesome medical stuff. Example, in season 1, a girl came in beaten and bruised and with something lodged in her throat. Turns out, a guy had tried to rape her and she had BIT IT OFF. It was AWESOME. They caught the guy when he stumbled in, half dead from blood loss and with blood all over his crotch.

Other stories include a "pregnant" man and an unexploded bomb lodged in a guy's chest. (the bomb story was the huge post-Super Bowl episode; I can't believe you never heard of it after that!) Plus, all the relationship issues between the main characters, the doctors, is the real reason we watch, especially between Meredith Grey (the narrator and who the show's named for) and Dr. McDreamy aka Derek Shepard. I suggest renting the first season, it's only about 13 episodes, and I think you can get it on one disk. They have it at blockbuster. The second season (the one that finished in May 06) should be out later this summer, I think.

how about the Simpsons? That never gets old no matter how old you are.

And not really shows but do people watch sports frequently like college basketball, nba basketball, nfl football on sundays, etc???

Another medical show, so this is nothing like House I'd presume? I love watching House, it follows the same basic outline all the time (Mad TV made fun of it one time real funny skit) but the character conflicts are so entertaining.

I've never watched House (although everyone I know who watches it says it's awesome) but I don't think they are that similar. It's still really good, though, GA is, so you should give it a shot.

what station if u dont mind me askin?

House? That's on FOX.

Well House I already know what show it's on since I watch it. But I'm talking about Grey's Anatomy.

A simple google search will show that Grey's Anatomy is on ABC....

NOBODY MENTIONED EITHER AMERICAN DAD OR FAMilY GUy!! :0
SOuTH PArK!!!
To that person who mentioned Serenity, I never watched Firefly, but that movie was awesome in sooo many levels. Easily the best movie of last year, and nobody saw it :(

The Simpsons died 6 or 7 years ago. New Simpsons, frankly, kill the soul because they remind you so vividly of the godlike old Simpsons, which was funny, un-PC, and lifted the soul with touching family moments.

24 is simply Jack Bauer kicking ass. Forget all the other stuff people tell you about this show, it is simply one man kicking a lot of ass.

You forgot to mention all the drama and twist into plots. Very innovative show.

what about Jeopardy! haha. =)

Grey's Anatomy is on ABC, sunday nights. (I think it's moving to thursday in the fall though)

One Word: Seinfeld!!!!!!!!!

Curb Your Enthusiasm!!!

Seinfeld is good, but not that big at colleges,

and mozilla, a lot of people mentioned family guy.....
