so i just got out for the summer. i'm guessing that many of you ambitious CCers have a vision of your summer. please share! here's mine:

-the first thing i want to do is get organized! my room and such are so disorganized and i would like to change that because it's depressing and makes me feel like a mess.

-go on an intense job hunt. i did some over spring break and got no calls back...but i hope this time is more successful. i really want some part-time work!

-lose weight...hopefully a decent amount by my cruise vacation at the beginning of august. i'm not overweight but i'm at the upper end of the healthy weight range and pretty unhappy with my body...so i will eat better and hit the gym 6x/week.

-really get going on college applications... because this fall is going to be busy enough as it is!

-do a little work for sat reading/writing (just practice tests and some direct hits)

-do a LOT of work for both sat and act math...i'm talking hardcore every day! grind grind grind

-visit any colleges that really appeal to me/that i might apply to early decision

-any summer homework i get assigned

-regularly read articles in spanish/do other things to hone my spanish skills because i want to enter into my ap spanish lit class this fall confident and prepare

Why do people work out more in the summer?

I honestly have no idea. I can’t even survive outside in temperatures over 75 F, much less exercise. I love the winter, late fall, and early spring as it’s the best weather for playing sports as long as there is no rain.

Wow, you like the winter? Maybe I’m biased cause it’s flip-flop weather at Christmas down here, but really?

Working my restaurant job(when I have time, Laramie rehearsals will conflict)

Studying SATIIs, Summer HW, extended essay, CAS stuff :/

Also, I really want to try and go down to Louisiana to volunteer with cleanup efforts from the oil spill but I don’t know if it’s going to fit.

I heard BP and LA state officials don’t want people just showing up down there to help clean up.

^there’s a specific program my uncle found, cleaning up and helping all the birds. It’s organized, I wouldn’t just “show up” :)

@ ilovefgump, part of the reason is that i have WAY more time during the summer to hit the gym. i attend a boarding school, where we have saturday classes, a ****load of homework, a requirement to participate in a sport/activity each season, etc…it basically consumes my life during the year

People want to exercise more in the summer because they aren’t covered in massive amounts of clothing like they are in the winter. You’re on display. Beach bodies and what not.

Some people need to be covered year-round. I know I don’t have the body of a Victoria’s Secret angel, but some people…

@massgirl92-- I’d hate to go to that school, although being required to take up tennis doesn’t sound too bad.
