Is he going to be here on an H1 visa? I don't know. BUT, I thought Arjun said that he was going into the computer field? Anyone confirm this? Let me tell you something, good luck on finding a job. I've heard a bunch of Indians are turning back because there are no more jobs.

Son, you have to realize that there are many scholarships that you won, but you know what, there is not that much competition (as in the US) for such higher level educational scholarships. There are millions of kids on the streets (I know, I've visited many Indian cities). Just be happy with what you have, and also know that humbleness will take you a lot farther.

"U can't pay and go to a top notch institute... "
Did anyone else understand this?

Apparently you don't know the real world Arjun...and of all places India is one of the most corrupt. Trust me, my parents lived through it and know how corrupt it is. And in India, moreso than America, $ speaks like no other. If you have wealth, you can send your child to the finest of schools. Don't even bother trying to argue this. A lot of things in India are corrupt, you just need to open your eyes and stop being ignorant.

wrx, in the past 12 months 20,000 Indians, mostly in the IT field, have returned to India from US. so yeah, the field is prety uch saturated i guess. You shouldn't discount the 'pull' factor of India too, though -lots of opportunity.

So ASP you're still here. since yu seem to have cooled down, would you mind going back and replying to all the points made?

nobody questioned your achievements, you must have stated them 20 times here already, stop showing off, stop teasing, stop fishing.

It is a well known fact that admission to indian schools, and family affluecne, is closely related. Parents are 'interviewed' to make sure they are from the 'right type of family", they make 'donations' to the school to get acceptance. It happens.

p.s wrx, i think intl students go on an F1 visa.

EDIT
Indian Discrimination? STOP IT! youre being ridiculous, randomly accusing people.

I don't discriminate against my own people. I'm not taking a swipe at you, because there is nothing to swipe at. Stop talking, because you are losing the respect of many people.

yeah...wrxstiav...hmmm...losin the respect u say, eh? well, u guys might wanna first worry abt ur apps bec u guys still havn't gotten in yet...as for me...Cornell / Cambridge...i think i have the respect

OK, Arjun, I really didn't mind you until you just said that.

Sorry to break it to you, but respect isn't measured by what universities you've been accepted to, or your prestigious high school. Respect is measured by what others think of you. You can have all the Intel Science awards in the world, and I still wouldn't give a damn about you, being a pompous a-hole you are.

I don't know the real world, eh?
Let me make this staright...my dad's not rich...i went to NPS on a scholarship...thats my school btw...
Cornell and Cambridge...my parents have no influence or money power
Its all brains and intellect...Money won't get u anythin frankly, only intellect will

you see, thats yet another example. i am tempted to say something too, but i don't.

People are not judged by pieces of paper. If you think you are great bcos you got into cornell and cambridge, god help you.It doesn't mean a thing or add any value to you as a human being to go to cambridge or cornell if you don;t know basic human courtesy and values.

Thats your own problem. By bringing it her and taking it out on us, youre besmirching the forum. You are an irritating presence and are ruining other peoples experience.

If you do not know how to conduct yourself, or think you may act as you wish because you are protected by a computer screen, I feel sorry for you.

I feel happy that this has outed because frankly you have been irritating from the beginning.

"yeah...wrxstiav...hmmm...losin the respect u say, eh? well, u guys might wanna first worry abt ur apps bec u guys still havn't gotten in yet...as for me...Cornell / Cambridge...i think i have the respect"

What a ridiculous way to change the subject. You sound like a 13 year old. Grow out of that provincial mind. I'm not worried where I get into, I already have a safety school down with considerable scholarship money. But I must warn you that your overly pompous outlook on life will not get you anywhere.

good...because u know what? this is the first time ive been so irritating on this forum! Ive 391 posts till date and no one's had a problem till u came along...
