I just thought I would make a thread so we could all post what we are most excited for about boarding school.

Not going to lie. I am most excited about picking out my bedding. I have been looking at the PB teen magazine ALL day.

Ohmigosh.

I know, I think I'm more excited for the actual buying everything than using it at the moment.

XD

Having a roommate. Being totally independent. Able to go to NYC and Boston.

all the new clothes i get to buy!!
since boarding is up north and i'm way down south, i definitely have to get loads of new clothes for the weather...
my mom promised me j. crew wellies or whatever they call them... :)
(that makes me sound spoiled, but it's freakin spring so it'll probably be cheap... i hope. i haven't checked the website yet).

I'm excited to meet the people. I've always been a people person. I love meeting people.

I can't help but be excited. I really love being in a new environment with new people, because of how amazing people are. That sounds so stupid, but I just can't wait to meet people that I will be with for two years.

I hate buying new clothes... So I'll have to deal with it.

@hershey
You don't sound spoiled at all!!!! You need to come to Jersey. We have some of the richest towns in the country (I don't live in one but I got school in one) You expect the kids to spoiled rotten.
Like Prom for example: I think if you add up how much everyone spent for on their attire, it would come out to about $200,000. Actually probably more. I'm only spending about $1000 (500 on dress, 500 on jewelry and shoes) but I don't want to know what some of my other friends are spending.

I guess that might make me sound spoiled...d@mmit

omg, $120, 000?!?!
that's crazy...

that's like, 3 yrs of tuition at exeter!!!!

we're going shopping today, so i'm hoping that my mom will be nice and buy me a couple things because i got into boarding...
i doubt it though, they're always like, "the tuition is SO expensive!" and they glare at me. (as a joke. but it's getting really annoying now...)

it is a little crazy.
I really think it might be closer to 200,000 though.
Like compared to some of the things my friends are getting, my $1000 is really not that much.
I'm trying to cut down though because of the recession. I really feel bad that my parents have to spend so much on me for like tuition and all the stuff I need for school

oh... me too...
i just came back from the mall and i just bought wellies from j. crew that were only $30 (compared to the original $115) and a pair of gloves.

i'm planning on just buying what i need when i get my list and stuff.
i'm already really thankful that my parents are paying for my tuition and stuff.
