Oh... plus there's the Culminating Project for seniors, and we have to pass the WASL in tenth grade. Both are really easy, if you've got a brain. They're basically warm body tests. (At least, that's my perception. Plenty of kids still fail, though--at least, they fail the WASL.)

I forgot about one...We have to pass the Arizona state exam (AIMS). It has a math, reading, and writing section. It's a big controversy because there are so many non-english speakers in the state, and a lot can't pass the exam. (Personally, I thought it was jokingly easy, but I guess it would be difficult for them) What I don't understand about that debate, is if they can't pass a simple reading/writing exam, then they shouldn't be getting a diploma, which is why the state implemented the test as a mandatory graduate requirement.

people have mentioned like advanced diploma and high diploma.....wahts the difference?

Passing of FCAT (Florida standardized test) and a 2.0.

Advanced diploma just has more requirements. Colleges apparently don't distinguish between the two. Many just highly recommend having foreign language and four years of core subjects down, so... that's basically it.
