Okay. So it's the end of freshman year, and I have 3 months (13 weeks) before I go back for second year. I'm going to be taking Multivariable Calculus, Spanish 101, Computer Sci, and Gay and Lesbian Studies.

I was thinking for only the month of June for 2 hours a day of trying to teach myself some Multivariable stuff (the basics, partial derivatives, vectors) and brush up on Spanish (took 3 years of it in HS). I REALLY need to aim for 3.7-4.0 from here on out and I think just getting the basics down would give me an edge so I'm not so lost/already familiar with what's taught.

Think this is a good idea or should I just enjoy my 3 months?

No… its a dumb idea to study and better yourself…

yeah, study. It’s a good idea.

And the basic Calc 3 stuff won’t take that long to understand. Calc 3 is MUCH easier than Calc 2

LOL. I know this sounds like an obvi question, but idk. Some people I asked said it won’t really help but I don’t think it would hurt, and hey, I got 3 months off so I need to pass time somehow lol.

And I hope calc 3 is easier. I found calc 2 easier than calc 1, so hopefully calc 3 is easier than calc 2…

Calc 3 is pretty much calc 1 in 3 dimensions. If you can get to Mexico or some other part of Latin America (or Spain I guess) for like a week it’ll do way more to bring your Spanish back than a month of studying.

you thought Calc 2 was easier than Calc 1?

Whaaaaa???

Improving yourself is never a waste of time.

Well if you are anything like me then summer starts getting boring and studying can take up some time. Also even if it doesn’t help it can’t really hurt.

Spanish, there’s really no reason to brush up since it is just an intro class. if its anything like my spanish 101, all you’ll do is learn the super basic stuff like greeting, present tense, and some of the past tense with stem changes

Calc 3, only brush up if you are going to devote your time to it. A class like that takes alot of patience and ultimately falls on the teacher as to how well you do. It took me 3 tries to pass calc 3 as an engineering major since I had to try different teachers until I found one that worked. In my experience, it mainly depended on the teacher whether or not the math class was hard since some teachers put alot on exams and give little time and vice versa.

Anyway, if you’re going to study Calc 3, use this guy’s channel [YouTube - patrickJMT’s Channel](http://www.youtube.com/user/patrickJMT#p/p) and use notecards as things can get a bit hard to keep straight.

^thats ********… don’t blame it on the teachers buddy. It wasn’t the teachers fault you failed twice.

^…um i didnt fail twice, I just dropped it twice since i couldnt get the grade I desired which was an A and thats what I consider passing regardless. but I finally got it. so yeah…
