What can Harvard Do For YOU?

Inspired by my genius mind I will now open a thread of infinite discussion.

What do CC members think an acceptance into Harvard will mean for their future?
Is it all about the possible monetary gains because as we all know money makes the world go round.

Metaphorically, it's all about urinating on the John Harvard statue that everyone who doesn't go to Harvard likes to touch.

Don't ask what your college can do for you, ask what you can do for your college!

That defeats the purpose of this thread, Dr. Avrah! :D

Harvard will open the door to many opportunities. You will be around people who are actually as motivated as you for once. and etcetcetcet...

You could walk around and say, "I went to HAHVAHD" at fancy tea parties.

Or spend the rest of your life saying you went to school in Boston so you don't have to hear the inevitable "You must be so smart."

i saw a shirt that said "Hahvahd" in big green letters.
i almost bought it.

I always shrink slightly when someone, whether a co-worker or an interviewer, asks me where I'm applying to college. I always make sure to mention my safety and a place like UChicago that's good but doesn't have the prestigious holier-than-thou recognition.

ditto what chronicidal said.

i was honest with my harvard interviewer (although i "forgot" to mention my yale application... turned out to be a good plan because he HATED yale)
with every other interviewer id give them the whole list EXCEPT i left off both harvard and yale.
letting georgetownman know his school was my 2nd choice was fine, but letting him know that he's really my 4th choice... bad plan.

For starters, it can admit me :).

^
Haha, I agree!

amen to that. The best thing Harvard could do for me would be to send me a pretty little letter that starts out, "We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to the Harvard class of 2012!"

Subsequently, Harvard would be ensuring my mental health and that of my mother remains intact. :D
