You know what? **** this. I hate my admission's counselor, I sent her an e-mail . A quick paragraph saying that I won't give up and telling her about a couple new awards I had received and she replies with some generic statement about "not giving up if you're deffered". It was written in such a way that you can tell she didn't even bother reading my e-mail. Totally turned me off on the school.

Soulin, don't give up yet man, this is the holiday season and they could've potentially already gone on break.

Who knows

THere are a lot of reasons why it could have happened

^Maybe but still really ****** up.

Just keep sending her stuff. Show you are really interested. She probably got a bunch of things from deferred students right after decisions, so if you send mor ein the coming months, she will be FORCED to take you seriously.

Eh, I've emailed my admissions rep twice (once about adding things to the file, and once after I was deferred) he never replied to either. Oh well.

Chill out. You are mad because you "suspect" that she did not fully read your email? Put yourself in her position. How many emails do you think that she will receive each day from students like you? You hate the school because of this? Yes, you should probably look elsewhere like other tree-hugging schools that will read every single email that you send and spend their precious time replying thoroughly and catering to you. You should be thankful that she even replied to you.

Just proves the level of your maturity....

Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are to speak to me like that? You are making a judgement call on me over one post on an internet message board. I think you're the one who needs to check his maturity level.

Second, I know my admission's counselor. I've spoken to her, seen her, called her, listened to her many times now. And over and over again she has had her facts wrong. I don't "suspect" that she didn't read it, it's obvious she didn't. I wouldn't be so mad if it didn't say in the letter to e-mail my admission's counselor. I mean what's the point if she isn't going to read it. And yes I expect her to read every single e-mail if it is of reasonable length (around a small paragraph) because that is her job.
