So far seems on track. Keep up with the good work.
The EC is fine =_= But make sure you do a few that you actually involved a lot. I see you have A LOT listed…

Anyway.
You have a long way to go. You don’t need to be the Intel Finalist to enter those schools. Your stats so far so good. Now waiting for you SAT / or ACT. Keep it up.

Choose just one EC and do something extraordinary with it. Take it way beyond your high school. Be one of the few kids in the Country doing anything like it.

Focus on getting very high scores, 2350 plus.

Try for no more Bs.

Unfortunately, that’s what HYPS will take.

UCLA is much easier. You can get Bs in weighted classes, a 2100 and just do average high school ECs.

"Any recommendations for ECs that I can get involved in? " The ones that interest you, not what you think will pad your resume. "

@T26E4 - I know I should do what I am passionate about, but I am passionate about many things and don’t know what activities I can do in my passionate areas that are special and original. Thanks for your feedback.

@2college2college- Thanks for your feedback.

Harvard and Stanford? You are spread way too thin to achieve any distrinction in, let alone enjoy, all of these ECs. Pick 3-4 this year that you really like, with the intention of narrowing it down to just 1-2 that you’ll really invest your time and creativity in next year. You want depth, not breadth, after 10th grade if you are aiming for the top schools. And your quality of life will be better if you aren’t expending all that energy on a dozen ECs you don’t really care about.

Alternatively, do whatever ECs sound like fun and, if you keep your grades up, you’ll get a good education somewhere and enjoy high school (to the extent that that is actually possible). Neither Harvard nor Stanford are necessary to a happy and successful life.

You are taking 3 AP classes as a sophomore!

I agree, don’t get obsessed with any one or two colleges. Find out what general type of subject you want to study in college and look for a range of colleges that offer the best opportunities in that field.
