what can I really do with an econ degree?

I am majoring in econ right now and I am just trying to figure out realistically what type of jobs I am going to be looking at and what the starting salaries are. I transferred from engineering to do economics because i really didn't like engineering and my true passion is business but I didn't get into the b-school here, but i'm wondering if I made a mistake in doing this and if there are still large salary jobs available with an econ degree. I go to university of michigan and have a 3.0

From what i know U of Mich has a pretty solid Economics department and you are in a target state school sop you should luck finding good jobs/ internships in the future. Depending on what type of business jobs you are considering most economic major can earn a salary of 45,500 and up after graduation. If you get into firms like GS,Morgan Stanley or any top Bulge bracket/boutique you can earn a lot more(60,000 and up)
