I am looking to transfer to Ohio State University. My fields of study are Computer Science/ Software Engineering, Bioengineering, and Nanorobotics. Is Ohio State well known for their programs in these fields of study? What kind of opportunities could they offer me career and research wise such as great internships?
Ohio State is extremely well-known for their engineering, computer science, and related majors. Really, any major you choose there, you will do well. Their academics are top-notch, prestige is high, and you’ll be in Columbus, Ohio, a very large, vibrant city with an abundance of job and internship opportunities. Go Bucks!
How is the engineering at OSU when compared to Penn state.
I was a PA resident and I went to OSU for Electrical Engineering. To me there was no comparison for what I wanted. You’ll have to decide for yourself based on the specific courses you want. For me it was no contest for my area.
My son graduated from OSU in DEC and I can’t say enough good things about that school. He received his PhD and 2 weeks after he graduated (in Nuclear Engineering) he had a great job offer in California.
