What causes a revoked admission?

Even that is for the whole UMich, the 0.8% revoke rate is a bit scary to me. It seems they do take it rather seriously.

@billcsho - Well, most people consider 0.8% a pretty small percentage, but I would also speculate (and it is just speculation based on what I have observed about human behavior) that the 50 number might be rounded up a lot in order to keep everyone on their toes. But it is still a small number as most people look at these things. Those 50, if that really is the number, could be pretty bad cases. It wouldn’t be terribly surprising to see about 50 kids out of over 5000 get such serious senioritis, have drug issues, have family problems, or something else that they actually failed to graduate their high school and/or had terrible grades to finish. I bet you would find that they are much more extreme than what is being talked about here.

I ended up with 1 D, 1 A, and the rest are B’s and B+'s. How’s my chance of getting revoked? I’m going to die. The D just happened now and school has been over for seniors for two weeks. One assignment was switched from the hw category to test category without me knowing.

Lolifofo if I were you I would try to email/call your regional admissions officer to help put your mind at ease. You can find their contact info fairly easily on umich.edu, buuuut since Im so damn excited with anything that has to do with Michigan at the moment ill look for it for you.

Goodluck, I chatted with them recently and they were very nice, and in all honesty I really think the email I sent to my regional representative was one of the main reasons I was accepted to the school over some of my peers.

@lolifofo‌ - Don’t know if you have tried to contact UMich, but IMO you should be fine. 1 D can happen, especially last semester senior year. Trust me, while they won’t highlight it, it isn’t the first time Michigan has seen this by any means.
