What chicks do college boys like most?

F*** genetics man. I'm girl #2. I'm 126, 5'6'' and I ALWAYS have to watch what I'm eating...even if I trip up a bit for a couple of days, I gain 2 pounds.

Girls have so much pressure put on them to stay thin. Especially from a lot of ****heads in this thread. Life f-ing sucks sometimes.

Most people gain the freshman 15 (or more) through beer and pizza...not eating in the cafeteria.

Why complain about 2 pounds liveforindie? 2 pounds, uh oh watch out.

Eh, 2 pounds lead to 5 pounds which lead to 10...and before you know it, you're a tub-o-lard. Slippery slope.

Im glad Im a guy. It seems like its hard for women to lose weight, but way easy to gain weight.

Yep, just as katho11 says...gaining weight is all too easy for many girls. My mom told me that our ancestors were farmers, and the farm women were real chunky...it's encoded in my genes.

Greaaaat.

Actually, I'm one of the lucky girls. I don't watch what I eat or exercise and am a size 6 (though I do plan to start pilates soon).

I should be wearing a 4, ideally. I'm what's known as "skinny-fat" even though I'm not skinny...more just thin/average. I have a small frame and a dancer's build...luuuucky.

Just like every other American of normal weight, tripperian, you assume that overweight people must be eating junk food every day, or every other day, or whatever. In reality, some of them don’t touch the stuff, ever. They eat healthy food (salad, fruit, ect). But every time they overeat a little bit, instead of getting rid of it like aisan girl #1 did, their bodies make it into fat. Yes, it converts calories in healthy foods into fat. And they are not to blame for eating just like everyone else but reacting differently to it. Girl #2 has appetite that is same as appetite of girl #1. So while girl #1 can walk around totally satisfied with what she has eaten, which is usually a load, girl #2 has to walk around constantly a bit hungry because she cannot eat as much as girl #1. Even though #2 is of the same height and weight as #1 and of same appetite, she has to deny her appetite all year round. And if she doesn't, tripperian will come out and tell her she's lazy.

You’re not going to lose weight simply exercising 30 minutes a day. Because, guess what? When you exercise, you burn calories, and this makes you hungry. So next time you go out dinning, your body will be hungry until you replenish everything you burned. How can you lose weight then? You lose weight by constantly starving yourself. Exercise speeds up the process. But have you ever tried studying for final exams and starving? Watching TV and starving? Going out with friends and starving? Doing homework and starving? I mean some of those women out there put themselves on a diet that equals that of Nazi concentration camp workers. It doesn’t have to be so drastic, but then it’ll be very slow. For example, if a woman is trying to lose 50 pounds in a healthy way, she’ll have to slowly starve herself for ½ year at best and up to 1 year if some days she gives herself a break from dieting. So first try losing just 20 pounds, and then come back and tell us all how easy it is and how everyone who is fat is just lazy and not saying a big hearty “**** you, i’m beautiful” to the “thin=good, fat=bad” media fad out there.

Um...you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight.

Eating balanced meals, not snacking, and proper exercise work just fine...and they also don't screw your metabolism so you balloon right back up once you start eating again. Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of food, and certain body types are more prone to gaining weight. I know this, but it's not impossible for most people to be a healthy weight.

And being thin is FAR healthier than being fat. There's no way around that one, buddy.

Notice, kihyle, that in my post I said "most of the time" fat = lazy. I know people who are fat but its not their fault, they have health issues, I have no problem with that. So that debunks ur first paragraph...

About ur exercise statement...so what about becoming hungry after working out, who said losing weight is fun? Sometimes u have to sacrafice to get what u want in life. I have no pity for people who dont exercise because they become hungry afterwards, again, losing weight isnt fun.

"So first try losing just 20 pounds, and then come back and tell us all how easy it is and how everyone who is fat is just lazy"

If I lost 20 pounds I'd probably die. Again, I didnt say "everyone" who is fat is lazy.

To burn fat you need to eat less calories than you spend. If you eat less than you spend, you feel hungry. If you force yourself to do so every day, you are officially starving youself for prolonged period of time. Because of the laws of thermodynamics, there is no other way this is to be done. You cannot eat same amount of calories and lose weight. What you are referring to is that some people try to trick their bodies into not feeling as hungry. They do so by eating often in small amounts, eating just protein, eating only foods with low glycemic index, exercising to make themselves too tired to feel hungry, etc. But they still eat less calories than they burn, which equals to slow starvation or dieting, which is a less scary term for it.

Well i'm glad you do not think so all the time, tripperian, but even "most of the time" might be an exaggeration already cuz you're implying that over 50% of fat people are lazy. I do have pity for them because why do they have to sacrifice and go an extra mile while everyone else is spending that same time enjoying their life? Doesn't seem fair that they feel so much peer pressure into it. And when you're young, unless you're obese you don't have those other horrible health problems.

... well, you'll have to gain those pounds first then (cheesecake 24/7!)

"And being thin is FAR healthier than being fat. There's no way around that one, buddy."

i wouldnt agree with you on that one...theres tons of anorexics and bulimics out there that will tell you otherwise.

I am an asian girl, but I still watch what I eat. I've tried the high protein low/no carb diet and did lose 20 pounds. it felt great. really, i love meat/veggies, so it worked perfectly well for me.

and then i went to mexico.

where they (or what the hotel gave me) was mostly rice....pasta....nachos....

yup. low carb to high carb has really bad effects on your body.
so nowadays i just practice tennis (hitting the wall is AWESOME) and go out for a run sometimes. hey, i'm not in perfect shape, but I'm still asian. make sense?

what I'm trying to say is, no matter how much you weigh or how tall you are or how much icecream cake you can eat in one sitting (...) you are you. if you feel that you actually see yourself turning into a potatoe on the couch, then get on your feet. start moving. its that first step that really does count.

and remember that you are unique, not just a size number at your favorite jean store.

Oh, sorry. I take "starving yourself" quite literally...like eating a cheerio for breakfast, a cracker for lunch, and a carrot for supper...and drinking tons of water to trick your body into feeling full.

::edit::

Being thin is not the same as being anorexic. Thin, at least as I see the word, means you're within the optimal BMI range for your weight, height, and age and that your body fat percentage is within healthy range...by eating right and exercising...not by slowing starving yourself to death.

what are you trying to say? i took your quote saying that thin isnt always the best. you are one of the lucky girls, who im sure eats healthy and all that, while most of us are not, and even does get to the point of starvation. i also understand that you'll be taking a pilates class, which means you do care about your body.

and do realize that you can be "fit and fat".

here's a part of one article that i found:
No healthy "ideal"

The growing emphasis on fitness rather than on thinness is a shift from the recent past, when most experts believed that to be healthy, people had to achieve an "ideal" weight or body mass index (BMI), an estimate of body fat. Steven Blair, P.Ed., president and CEO of the Cooper Institute in Dallas, thinks focusing on an ideal weight or BMI is ridiculous. "This is like saying people should be an ideal height or have an ideal eye color--it's meaningless," he says. "Even with optimal diet and physical conditioning, there is vast variation in weight."

Blair was one of the first scientists to ask the question "Can you be fit and fat?" He himself was fit--he runs almost daily and works out at a gym--but he has never achieved the slim physique so prized by society. For eight years, Blair studied the health of nearly 22,000 men between the ages of 30 and 83 who had undergone complete physicals, treadmill tests for cardiovascular fitness, and body-composition assessments. His conclusions were startling to many doctors: Fitness turned out to be a far more reliable predictor of health and longevity than either weight or BMI. Unfit men with BMIs of less than 27 (18.5-24.9 is considered "normal weight") had a death rate that was 2.8 times greater than men with BMIs of 30 or higher (considered obese) who were moderately fit.

this article was from the site : http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0846/is_5_23/ai_111518903/pg_2

"Well i'm glad you do not think so all the time, tripperian, but even "most of the time" might be an exaggeration already cuz you're implying that over 50% of fat people are lazy."

Psshhh, I would say 75-80% of fat people are just lazy.

"I do have pity for them because why do they have to sacrifice and go an extra mile while everyone else is spending that same time enjoying their life?"

Because they (the ones without health issues) are the ones who got themselves into that mess.

"And when you're young, unless you're obese you don't have those other horrible health problems."

Im young, 18, and I have diabetes (the juvenile type, not the obese type). So I know what it means to sacrafice in order to stay healthy.

By the way, if I were to ever get fat it'd have to be on Krispy Kremes and Taco Bell.

I wouldn't even care that I was fat as long as I had a constant supply of chocolate-sprinkle donuts and chicken grilled stuffed burritos (or those Cabo Chicken subs from Quiznos...yummy).

tripperian, i didnt know there were a bunch of texas songs! (from other post). i think we're probably the only ones staying up writing stuff.

wait! focus! focus!
hmm. i do agree with tripperian, but you can be fit and fat. you don't even have to be within your optimal BMI range to be fit. :S

Ya me and the Canadien are pulling an all-nighter!

Mmmmmm Quiznos....

Oh gah...I should stop wandering off.

Being thin by starving yourself to death is unhealthy. I don't think I ever said being thin was bad in any other scenario...dunno...I'm tired...maybe I did.

I don't watch what I eat because I don't have to.

That and I got sick a few years ago and lost 20 pounds before I really started trying to control the weight-loss. When I ate normally (which was difficult since I always felt like I was going to puke) the weight seriously just fell of off me. I had to eat like crazy to keep my weight up (despite the puke feeling).

Now that I'm not sick anymore, I'm glad to just be eating normally without drastic weight changes.

I'm going to start Pilates (video, not class) because I could be in better shape than I am...as in more toned.

I'm very weird about my body because of the whole sick thing and everyone calling me anorexic during that time (I only told one friend what was really going on)...so yeah I probably care more than I should.

yeah all nighter with nothing to do!

seriously, the CB website is bothering me so much

gad! dont say quiznos!
i heart it. its way better than subway.
