What Classes are you planning to take first semester?

This is the info I found for textbooks

[The Book Center: University of Pittsburgh](http://www.pitt.edu/~bookctr/textbooks/textreservation.htm) - to reserve them and pick them up at Pitt.

[The Book Center: University of Pittsburgh](http://www.pitt.edu/~bookctr/textbooks/textbooklist/textbooklist.htm) - Textbook list - Fall list is not up yet.

When I compared some prices in the summer list against Amazon prices, some where a little higher ,some a little lower, but I think by the time I was done the total was about the same.

For ease of freshman year I think we are going to pre order and just pick them up at Pitt.

GotUsed on Forbes is also good.

[Welcome | Got Used Bookstore](http://www.gotusedbookstore.com/pitt/)

That bookstore service is great, DonnaMom. They have them all packed in boxes ready to go.

I figure between the bookstore and Bed bath and Beyond having everything packed and ready to go moving in will be a lot less stressful.

The Psych department flips out when freshmen try to take Research Methods. I’m in it as a freshman, but I’m technically a transfer, I have Psych credit, and I had to do a bit of bothering. You have to have intro Psych to take it, and I think you can take it if you’re taking Stat at the same time, but I’m not positive. But if you’re a freshman with no prior credits, you’ll have to wait until sophomore year.

Leesamurmur, that’s a really good idea. Unless you are completely 100% certain of your classes, add/drop rules. But if any freshman try that strategy, just let your advisor know your plans to drop so they don’t make a fuss.

Is World Politics PS 0500 a good class? Is it a good match for freshman or better to wait and take it later?

Im taking 15 credits

Bio 1 & lab & recitation
Chem 1 & Lab
Principles of Homeland Security
Freshmen Seminar (its for people in this program Im in)
