What college would you NEVER go to and why?

religious schools like BYU, Bob Jones, Liberty, etc. Not even schools with laid-back affiliations like Georgetown, ND, etc.

conservative schools or those with a strong conservative element like UVA, Duke, etc.

rural schools

Southern schools in general (for the first two reasons; I can’t imagine being in a Bible-thumping, Republican/conservative/red state, even if the school itself isn’t that way)

So for me, the ideal is a suburban or urban school with no religious affiliation and a liberal population (professors, students, and local residents). I would say that LACs aren’t for me because of their size, but that doesn’t make me adamantly opposed to them. Swarthmore would be a great school, even though there are lots of other larger schools that I’d prefer to attend.

Mizzou, just since it isn’t a great public flagship and at least 20% of my class will go there. It’s a big school and I might never see them again, but I want to get out of Missouri.

ohio state. its way too big and is taught mostly by TA’s. its also expensive. It seems a lot like a money sucking scam to me. Its not worth the money at all

Bob Jones, BYU, and pretty much most Community Colleges.

Cornell College, LOTS of reasons! :)

BTW, this is NOT the Cornell in NY…

Yale. Ain’t never gon’ get in.
