I am a current junior in high school in Maryland. My credentials are as follows
GPA - 3.63 (as of right now, I expect it to be around 3.7 at the end of this year)
SAT - 2240 ( 700 CR, 770 Math, 770 Writing)
WGPA - 4.40 as of right now
ACT - 33-35 ( I have not taken it yet, but according to practice tests this is around where I should score)
SAT Math 2 - 800
SAT Chemistry - 800
My GPA worries me a bit, as it is very low for competitive schools like Cornell, UCLA and Hopkins. I am a student in Maryland, if that plays a role in anything. I also will be holding an internship over the summer between 11th and 12th grade at either NIH or Johns Hopkins, and have a number of extra-curricular activities (debate team, robotics, instrument for 10+ years, among other things).
My question is, what notable schools am I competitive for, even with my GPA? My dream school is Cornell, but I am also looking at UCLA, UPenn, Hopkins among others. My safe school is UMD, but I like the Honors College, so I was also wondering what my chances are of making that.
Thanks you so much in advance!
