<p>What counts as extracurricular activity?</p>

<p>Okay. So I thought I knew the answer to this question but recently I heard some unusual definitions. </p>

<p>I heard that doing art work at home counts, or playing basketball with a group of friends also counts.</p>

<p>So what's the deal? Does extracurricular activity have to be with an organization? Or is it just a list of things you do outside of school for personal enjoyment?</p>

<p>Things you do for fun, outside of classes, that take up a significant portion of your free time. They can be organized activities like sports or orchestra, or independent hobbies like hiking or knitting.</p>

<p>I always thought people run around everyday attending classes, activities.</p>
