eight college applications to finish

ipod nano.......couldn't ask for more, except getting accepted to my ED school, which didn't happen.

Sorry to insult you rly... In most families getting all that just for christmas (even if your gf did give you one of those) would be considered spoiled. I told my mom when she asked me what I wanted that I did not want anything at all for Christmas, that being able to go to college was the best gift I could have, however with the help of my whole family she got me a jacket. Both of my lines of family take everything for granted. My father didn't always have bread to eat for dinner because when he and the rest of his family came to America, they were stripped of everything. My mom's father taught her and the rest of her siblings to be thankful that they had a roof over their heads as well as loving parents. Each Christmas morning he would bring them to an orphanage and make them give one of their Christmas gifts away. Moreso he had to hold down two jobs just to be able to have a happy family.
I could see if you got a PSP, but a 360 itself is stretching it (I have one because I am paying for every single cent of it). The two combined are just crazy.
Honestly giving your parents a trip to vegas doesn't cut it for me. Christmas isn't a time for people to say "Since the thing you got me is valued $900, I must do the same exact thing". Christmas is a time to show your love for your family and show them who you are thankful for. Not a time for saying if I give you this expensive thing, you better get me something better in return (to me, that is what your tone sounds like personally).

I got $100, some PJ's, a hoodie, and a really pretty hairclip.

no problem..i didnt take it personally, but i didnt need an explanation of your whole life story...inever expected to get any of those thing or asked for them...and its not like i live off my parents because i have my ownw place which i pay for myself, i work and go to school full time. so yeah, we somtimes splurge on gifts for christmas, i dont see anything wrong with that. i guess it depends on each person's stuation. i dont see anything wrong with that. some teenagers get cars as presents which i think is taking it alittle too far. but i woud'nt pass judgement on another person and consider them spoiled jsut on what they got for christmas

I got 2 CD's (Mary J Blige and Jamie Foxx), a peacoat, suede boots, $200, and a $250 gift card to Urban Outfitters.

A pair of J. Crew jeans in the same style as the other pair I own, but in a slightly different shade of blue

A striped scarf from J. Crew

A striped tie belt from J. Crew

The Ancestor's Tale by Richard Dawkins (I love him!)

Thud! by Terry Pratchett (I love him, too)

A nice wallet (because my old one was decrepit)

A Dilbert calendar

Chocolate

A travel guide to New England (for the college visiting roadtrip we're planning for spring break)

I'm really happy with what I got. They were all things I'd asked for and/or that I needed. Nothing all that expensive (except maybe the pants), but we went to Paris for a week over Thanksgiving and didn't want to spend that much on presents this year.

$250 (combined from like four or five gifts - $100 was from my parents because I didn't ask for anything in particular this year) Unfortunately, much of this is going to be used to pay back my little brother my share of the xbox 360 he bought a couple weeks ago with his money (I had spent my savings on a trip to Europe).

2 shirts
a hoodie
"True Stories I Made Up" (Daniel Tosh)
3rd Degree by James Patterson

I got this a week before Christmas, but it's my favorite of all - acceptance letter to Stanford!

All in all, a good Christmas.

OO i scored this christmas, I guess not asking for anything was the best idea ever lol

I got a movado, jacket from ralph lauren, couple shirts from ralph lauren, 2 eddie bauer shirts, my mom got my ipod fixed (thank god, the warranty was up...pieces of junk break all the time) couple gift cards to j crew, and a $300 shopping spree with my aunt! can't wait to spend some quality time with her :-)

You know what would be an awesome late Christmas present! Go to GoldShadow's dedication thread and post! Me and him would greatly appreciate it!
