<p>The Johnny Depp version was so creepy. I love it though because I’ve learned to master the line “Uh, you really shouldn’t mumble. Because I can’t hear a word you’re saying” with a straight face. </p>
<p>(In my own defense, I only deadpan it to freshmen who complain about their work job assignments to me)</p>
<p>oh the GENE WILDER version. please the johnny depp one is a joke. you can’t beat the classic.</p>
<p>For the communication question I put the telephone, for the world I want to go to I put the world of Dr. Seuss…and the random fact: Well, I wrote a fact…that ended up not being true…fail.</p>

<p>I hope none of you who said Twitter are pursuing JOMC… it’s a revolutionary social networking site that’s used by almost every news organization. It helps the media see what people are talking about through trending topics, and contrary to popular belief, it is not just a long list of facebook statuses. people write about other stuff. haikus, haiti, art, UNC, perez hilton…</p>
<p>I remember the original version too. I think the book was the best of all, of course, and I didn’t really connect with either movie. I just love the Johnny Depp line.</p>
<p>I loved the book and thought the geese in the movie were so strange when I first saw it. lol.</p>
<p>It makes me super sad that so many people want to ban letter writing. What a lost art form. And newspapers! I can’t even start with that one.</p>

<p>I’m surprised that so many people put texting as the form of communication they’d like to ban… What else would we all do when we’re bored in class? 
I put “the silent treatment.” I have a friend that put “terrorism,” which I also think is a great answer–it certainly gets a message across.</p>
