What do chemistry engineers actually do?

<p>I love chemistry, but chemistry is a terrible field to go into. I really like engineering, too. So based on the job title it seems the perfect career for me would be chemical engineering. But what do chemical engineers actually do? If you are a chemical engineer, can you please tell me what your typical work day is like?</p>

<p>Chemical Engineering is a very diverse field, there are multitude of different career paths one can choose. Traditional chemical engineers would be process engineers in large chemical plants and refineries. Typically these jobs require analyzing process and changing process in order to make profit or improve safety. </p>

<p>Another path that ChemEs can follow are consumer products which typically involves product testing and product research. ChemEs also may work in the medical field and pharamcutical field.</p>
