What do counselors usually include in their recommendations for Common App?

Hi, everyone! I have a question and it worries me a bit. On my Common App, I specified that I am living with one parent; however, my college counselor who wrote and submitted my application was under the impression that I live with both my parents. Now, I don't know if she included that or not in my recommendation, and I don't want to ask because she is not the friendliest. I know it may seem trivial, but I was just worried that the misinformation may affect my chances for financial aid... it won't, right? Because that's for the FAFSA to prove, right?

I don’t know why a guidance counselor would even detail anything about your home life. At least I don’t think that’s what their recommendations are used for.

Yeah, I didn’t think so either. They probably just ask if in case someone is living in poverty, homeless, emancipated, or some extreme situation. Thanks so much!

No, the questions involve things like: first words that come to mind, respect accorded by faculty, creativity, maturity, etc. Nothing about your home life unless it needs to be mentioned to explain something in your record.

Thank you guys so much! Sorry for the late reply, but I really do appreciate your taking the time out to respond :)
