What do econ/biz econ majors think of math/econ majors?

Just curious.

lol. im a math/econ major. i mean you can think it’s dumb we have a 70% acceptance rate at ucla, but there’s no other feelings i can really think of.

I am Math / Econ as well.
I think that its a growing major right now.
Only 3 math courses seperate this major from Econ major.

Although I did not apply as math/econ as my first major to UCLA I think it sounds a lot better than saying you are just an econ major. All you econ majors can hate, but heyy its just an opinion.

its alot more than 3 math courses that seperate it form the econ major.

Depends what school. UCSD requires 2 more classes, UCLA 4 more classes.

You take 3 more math classes.
And you take 3 less econ classes

math/econ is more prep for grad school (phd econ)
econ/biz is more learning about business and those students probably end up getting an mba

math/econ > econ/biz econ. If you cant understand that then your probly econ/biz econ and didnt take enough math = ) maybe im just biased because im math/econ lol. no offense guys im just kidding ^ ^ I have nothing against econ/biz. As mentioned above econ/math will just be more prepared for grad school. I also agree with pootie in that econ/math sounds bettter.

Math/ Econ now enables me to do a double major rather than change my major if i have to .
I have decided that i will double major in Math Econ and Econ International Studies
