okay, so i just took a practice PSAT and scored a 209. 80 in math, 63 in reading, 66 in writing. Now, i really want to break 220 to ensure national merit semifinalist status. Should i JUST focus on writing for now? As in, should i aim for getting a 75+ in writing?? or go for both writing and reading?

I'd improve writing first.

yeah kool, any solid tips for that?

Do some practice questions. read answer explanations. You'll realize that sentence corrections have finite types of errors.

o usually, the rephrasing sentence **** me off.

^i find those easier than ID sentences..

what! identifying error is so easy for me :[ Errrrr..idk, maybe i ll study up on some rules or something, and practice.

learn the rules cold.
after a few practice tests, you'll have it all

oh ok kool thx. So i should shoot for high as possible in writing correct? Forget about the reading for now, until the real SAT comes up. For the next week or so, i should focus on writing?

yeah...........cr is too hard to increase, just make sure u nail the vocab section too

keeprolling, i used to score really low on the W section

until i got barrons sat book- do all the W section practice tests in that book! you will get an 80, or close to 80 MC on the PSAT if you do this!

NOT kidding! also, do the blue book after barron's. b/c after u do barrons the blue book will be insanely easy and you'll build confidence and then COMPLETELY OWN on test day

hope that helped!

So is barrens best for Grammar?

Grammar: Barrens
Math: grubers
CR: Pr?
Vocab: Barrens/pr?
