Hi here's my crazy story. So I initially went to Temple Uni, but I flunked out. I basically partied and drank my way out of school. Yes, I know it was incredibly stupid and I wasted a lot of time as well as a great opportunity. Ok, fast forward a couple of years and now I'm back at a community college. My first semester hasn't been great (B average). I'm now in my second semester and I'll have all A's. What should I do? Do I have any shot at a school like Fordham or even better? My goal is to get into a decent MBA program when I graduate.

Everyone makes stupid mistakes. Flunking out of college on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being irreversible errors (felonies, etc), is about 4, IMHO. What you need to do is focus on your GPA. If you are getting all B in the first semester and all A in the second, your GPA should be around 3.5. See if you can pull it up to 3.6 or 3.7 with your next semester of work. At 3.5 or above, you should have a fair chance to some of the great schools.

As to MBA programs, yes, your undergrad degree and GPA is important but it is not as important as your work experience and recommendations. GMAT is also quite important.

Thanks for the response. I was going crazy thinking about this. What sort of experience should I be looking to add? What sort of score should I look to getting into top or mid tier MBA program?
