<p>I hear this term a lot.. they say like. i got a full ride but they are still paying.. I thought full ride is you don't have to pay anything.. does that even exist?
My loans + grants would cover all the cost.. does that mean i got a full ride? im still paying like 1000 plus a month on cars cause i didn't accept the loan.</p>

<p>If they’re still paying, it’s because they want more than the CoA covers, which happens even to people who have to pay some or all of the CoA.</p>

<p>A full ride should be grants and scholarships covering full costs. If you are fully covered by financial aid then you have a combo of loans/work study/grants/scholarships that cover the entire costs.</p>

<p>To get it he was invited to apply for the scholarship by the school, he had to write essays and interview.</p>
<p>It includes: tuition and fees for 4 years, room based on double occupancy and 14 meals a week dining plan (he can can take those and “cash” it in and use the cash equivalent for apartment/living expenses after freshman year), $500 book stipend, $2000 research or study abroad stipend. </p>
<p>I believe he can use his NMF scholarship for books/school expenses as well. </p>
<p>We will pay for spending money, incidentals, any overspending (books after the NMS and stipend are gone), travel back and forth, etc.</p>
