I'm just wondering, do most teachers basically mark you as Excellent (top 5%) when filling out the form?

No idea. I've seen on here, though, that giving out too many top 1%s and top 5%s makes the teacher look like they're not being honest. You know, it's kinda suspicious if they hand them out like candy.

Haha I saw one of my teachers' (she showed us 'cause she had us copy them) and I was SO ANGRY but so amused. All of her check marks for the individual qualities were in the top 5% or top 1% category -- seven in top 5%, eight in top 1%. So what does she do for "overall"? She puts it IN THE MIDDLE.

Yes. ON THE LINE between top 5% and 1%.

Slightly to the right, yes. But what will colleges see that as?! "Hesitantly in the top 1%"? "Barely in the top 1%"? "In the top 3% with a possible error of 2%"?

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with it and not actually angry. But it frustrates me SOOO much. Why couldn't she have just put it clearly in that section?!?

I don't really understand the purpose of that section, because obviously all teachers are going to mark the top 5% or top 1%. It sort of devalues the ratings.

i agree, so do you think teachers would be honest, or give everyone top 5%? because i saw mine and it was top 5% across the board, so i don't know if this is good or average.

lol thats brilliant. well its hilarious, taht's for sure.
