Hey Everyone!
So, I'm currently looking at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and other top notch schools.
I have some very strong EC's and high community service hours, aka, everything looks good except for my psat, which I'm currently at a 2000 but I am bringing up! :)

Anyways, here's my current course list for next year... (Btw, this is a top suburban public high school, top 20's in Cali.)

JUNIOR YEAR
Semester One.
AP English Comp.
AP United States History.
Honors Chemistry.
CP American Sign Language II.
CP Algebra II.

Semester Two.
AP English Comp.
AP United States History.
AP Psychology.
Honors Chemistry.
CP American Sign Language II

CP Algebra II.

Note, I'm currently trying to get a spot at Honors Algebra II w/ Trig which moves literally twice as fast as the normal curricular, how much would this help me (it's not weighted)? Also, I'ma take Pre-Calc at my local CC the summer before 12th grade, so that I can be in AP Calc BC my senior year. And I'm also planning to take six AP classes senior year!

I don’t want to be rude but your schedule is really weak for top tier schools. You should be taking something more like this:
Ap English Comp
APUSH
AP Psychology
AP Chem
(Higher Level Language)
AP Calc BC
Admissions at colleges like Stanford and Berkeley are extremely competitive, and your Algebra 2 in particular means you ****ed something up along the line.

Well, I should have been in Calc BC next year, because I took Algebra I in 7th grade (aced it), but then I had to switch middle schools and they didn’t have Geometry for 8th graders so I was forced to take it again (once again, easy A). When I got to high school, I went to a high school where everyone was forced to take Intergrated math I and then once again, I switched schools and since they didn’t offer intergrated math, I was forced into Algebra I again >.<.

So, because I’m “behind” (technically, on par with my grade), should I take Algebra II honors?

Take algebra 2 honors. Take the most rigorous schedule available to you.

What’s the next class in the math course sequence at your school…? If you don’t at least graduate having taken precalc I really don’t think you have a shot at top tier schools. Also, I’m not sure how colleges feel about sign language being your world language, I mean I guess it’s unique but… Can’t take an AP test or a subject test for that…

Definitely honors math if you can get it.

How about AP Stats in conjunction with Honors Alg II? (Drop Psych.)

With bottom 20 educators: Integrated math/science stinks.

P.S. While UC may accept ASL for a foreign language, other colleges may not. Also, you’ll need three years of ASL for Cal and UCLA – well ok, recommended – so hopefully, your HS offers year 3.

What about AP Chemistry in place of Honors Chemistry? I would also Recommend self-studying a couple AP classes. Maybe you could study Algebra 2 or Pre-Calculus over the summer online and skip a year of Math.

Hey guys, so my mew course list is as follows…

Semester One.
English Comp. (AP)
United States History (AP)
Chemistry (AP)
Chemistry (CP) AP Chem is two parts.
Psychology (IB)
Algebra II (H)
ASL 2 (CC) new school, I can only take it at a CC.

Second Semester-
Same thing except ASL 3 at a CC and Current America (CP) instead of Psych (IB).

I’m also debating on whether or not to self-study AP Stat and/or AP Human Geography.

Your new courses are fine without self studying anything. It’s much more important to do well in the advanced courses you do take, than to pile them up. The only acceleration that will be worth it is to take pre-cal in the summer if it will prepare you to take AP Calculus senior year.
