I would like to know how the NYU student think about the merger with Polytechnic brooklyn? is it pejorative or advantageous?

NYU just wanted the land polytech had. Its beneficial for polytech to have the name and beneficial for NYU to have the land and an actual tech program.

i agree. NYU wanted to expand it’s engineering program, and this was the easiest way to do it. there’s really no negative to it. it doesn’t really impact current NYUers that much.

hahaha I love it. NYU just wanted the land. Soon there will be nothing left as NYU will absorb all of NYC into it’s non campus :)

That is interesting to see how well this merger is going to take. In fact, I think if the NYU board is willing to spend the money required for this engineering school, it will become a top notch.

Doesn’t affect me, other than that John Sexton’s probably going to raise my tuition to fund the damn merger. Pigs will fly before I step foot inside an engineering class.

Well I like it because I’m going into the 3+2 engineering program. From what I’ve read, this year marks the first year that the program is affiliated with poly instead of stevens.
