What do you guys think?

UPenn-reach
Brown-reach
Stanford-reach
Tufts-low reach
GW-low reach
Dartmouth-reach
Johns Hopkins-reach
Geneseo-match
U Miami-match
Amherst-low reach
Columbia-reach
Boston University-match

my brother is a PLME at Brown right now. though he was also valedictorian and shared most of your ec's and had higher sat1's and sat2's than you, brown, columbia, upenn, etc were huge reaches for him. i remember reading his essays for him and i'm positive that those were what set him apart...

good luck!

since this is brought back to life i'll just post wat i know so far-

in at u miami with 24k per year (presidential scholarship)
in at geneseo
in at bu honors program (top 10% of applicant pool supposedly)

keep us posted

Just wanted to let you guys know what happened-

Accepted: BU Honors, GW 15k/year, Miami Honors 24k/year, Geneseo, Tufts, Johns Hopkins
Waitlisted: Columbia, Amherst
Rejected: Brown, Stanford, Penn, Dartmouth

Most likely JHU class of '11, but staying on the two wait-lists just in case

Really? Baltimore over Boston (Tufts)?

Absolutely Hopkins over the rest, unless finances are an issue. Take a look at the academic rating..."peer assessment" for Hopkins...It is 4.6/5. Now compare that number to tufts, and of course, all of the others...This number is higher than Penn's, same as Columbia's and I think higher than Dartmouth's. This is the most important number in terms of a school's prestige. While other numbers for the varying categories that comprise "rank" can, and will change, as has happened in the past (before US News refomulation several years back, JHU was always in the top 10), peer assessment rarely varies. Go for the best. It sounds like you deserve it. Job well done!
